Terms

Terms of use.

Plain terms for a free tool. Last updated October 2026.

1. Acceptance

By using Python Compiler Free, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The site is operated as an independent project and is not affiliated with the Python Software Foundation.

2. The service

Python Compiler Free provides a browser-based code editor and a Python runtime that executes locally on your device. The service is free and provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. There is no service-level agreement, no uptime guarantee, and no support commitment.

3. No warranty

The site is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Python execution, package availability, output, and error messages are not guaranteed to be correct or complete. Do not rely on the site for production, safety-critical, legal, medical, or financial decisions.

4. Your code and content

You retain ownership of the code you write. Because execution happens in your browser and the site has no accounts or uploads, the operator does not receive or store your code. You are responsible for the code you run and for any consequences of running it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to:

  • Violate any applicable law or the rights of others.
  • Distribute malware, phishing content, or code intended to harm others.
  • Attempt to disrupt the site, its hosting, or the package CDN.
  • Misrepresent the site as an official Python product or as your own service.

Because code runs locally, the operator cannot monitor what you execute. That does not make harmful use acceptable.

6. Third-party components

The site uses open-source software, including Pyodide, CPython, CodeMirror, Astro, and Tailwind CSS, and downloads runtime packages from jsDelivr. Those components are governed by their own licenses and terms. The site is not responsible for third-party services or for the behavior of code you choose to run.

7. Intellectual property

The site's design, written guides, and example programs are provided for personal learning and classroom use. You may copy and adapt examples for your own projects. Bulk republication of the guides or example library as a competing service is not permitted.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the site. Your sole remedy is to stop using the site.

9. Changes

The site and these terms may change at any time. The updated date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
