About
A small tool with a simple goal.
Make the first five minutes of Python as short as possible. No installer, no account, no setup guide — just an editor and a Run button.
Why another online compiler?
Most online Python tools are built around a server: your code is posted to a machine, executed, and streamed back. That architecture is powerful, but it adds latency, a privacy question, and an operating cost that usually turns into ads, signups, or a paywall.
Modern browsers can run CPython directly. Pyodidecompiles the interpreter to WebAssembly and loads it into the page. Once it is loaded, execution is local and immediate. That removes the server from the loop — and with it, most of the reasons a learning tool becomes annoying.
What this site is
A focused Python playground with a real editor, standard input, variable inspection, chart capture, shareable links, and examples that explain themselves. It is designed for beginners, students, teachers, and anyone who needs to test a small snippet without opening a terminal.
What this site is not
It is not a full IDE, a notebook, a deployment platform, or a replacement for a local development environment. There is no debugger, no project system, and no persistent server. Programs that need native packages, subprocesses, databases, or very large datasets belong on a real machine.
How it works
The page is a static Astro site. The editor is CodeMirror 6 with a custom VS Code Dark+ theme. Pressing Run sends your source to a module Web Worker, which loads Pyodide on first use and executes the code with CPython 3.14. Output and errors stream back as they happen.
Your code and input are saved in localStorage on your device so a refresh does not lose your work. Share links compress the code into the URL fragment, which is never sent to a server. Imported packages are fetched from the jsDelivr CDN.
